Responsibilities:
- Product Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential beer suppliers globally, considering factors such as product quality, pricing, and brand reputation.
- Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, exclusive offerings, and advantageous payment terms.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to make informed decisions on product selection and quantities.
- Portfolio Management: Curate and maintain a diverse and high-quality beer portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer preferences.
- Supplier Relationships: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with existing and potential beer suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with suppliers to maintain and improve product quality standards, conducting regular quality checks and audits.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
- Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies, ensuring effective product positioning and visibility in the market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in beer buying or procurement, preferably in the alcohol distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of the beer market, including knowledge of craft beers and emerging trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
