Position: Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Manager at A-Z Trading Services, you will play a critical role in optimising our supply chain operations to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products/services to our customers. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and finance, to forecast demand and develop production plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the supply chain process.
  • Manage logistics and distribution activities, including transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions in the supply chain or supplier quality issues.
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments to inform decision-making and drive innovation within the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in optimising supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve goals and drive results.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management, including sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Certifications such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or CSCMP preferred.
